Ignite seeks to guide all young people in grades 6 through 8 to Christ through interactive catechesis and fellowship. Ignite strives to provide the youth with personal encounters with Jesus Christ.

Alive seeks to guide all teens to a personal relationship with Christ through fun catechesis, evangelization, and fellowship. Alive strives to provide teens with the tools needed for a life-long relationship with Christ and the Catholic faith.

The Confirmation Program at St. John Vianney Catholic Church seeks to prepare teens for a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.

• Students who are at least in 10th grade the year they seek sacramental preparation
• Students who have fully participated in two consecutive years of Faith Formation prior to sacramental prep.
• Students with the desire to receive Confirmation
• Students need 50 service hours for two consecutive years.
• Students need to be 15 years of age by April 1 2025.

• Regulary participation in Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation
• Participation in a Confirmation Retreat
• Participation at all Sunday Classes (minimum of 20 classes, with make-up classes)

High school students that have received the Sacrament of Confirmation are invited to join our DOC Leadership Program. DOCs meet to grow in intentional discipleship, deepen their friendships, and plan for upcoming events such as retreats. DOCs are expected to attend Alive nights and act as role models for the underclassmen and middle school students. They can assist as confirmation team leads.
