The Pastoral Council
The primary advisory body to the pastor on all aspects of parish life. The Pastoral Council reflects on the mission/vision of the parish and sets priorities for the parish guided by the parish strategic plan. The Pastoral Council, when needed, forms ad hoc committees made up of PC members and/or members of the parish for specific tasks to fulfill those priorities. At other times it communicates priorities, with the consent of the pastor, to parish staff who are then charged with the responsibility of fulfilling priorities. The Pastoral Council works with the Stewardship Committee in whatever ways needed to assist that council, according to the parish mission/vision, in its work of formation of the parish as a stewardship parish. The Pastoral Council works with the Finance Council in setting financial priorities of the parish. The Finance Council advises the Pastoral Council, through the pastor, on financial matters.
