The SJV Ladies
The Saint John Vianney Ladies is one of the largest ministries we have. Do you know why? Because this ministry’s membership includes ALL women of St. John Vianney Parish. Yes, you! There are no dues, induction ceremonies, mandatory meetings, age restrictions. Just an open invitation to every woman of SJV to join the ministry that likes to think of itself as the “helping hands” of the parish. Monthly meetings, announced through email and the bulletin, are held in Saint Monica’s Hall. Each meeting offers fellowship, delicious food, news and reports about past and upcoming events. Every meeting hosts a guest speaker - the topics are designed to inform and inspire, and to appeal to the various interests and ages of the Ladies group itself. Every year, the SJV Ladies present a scholarship to a young woman at the time of her graduation. The main fundraiser is the array of delicious desserts served up at the Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fries. The money raised supports ministries and the scholarship fund.

St. Andrew's Ministry
The SJV parish slogan, “All Are Welcome” is supported by the activities of St. Andrew's Ministry. This group of more than 20 people do an incredible job welcoming new parishioners and introducing them to parish programs and ministries, and to the community of St. John Vianney. St. Andrew's Ministry members greet people at Masses, coordinate newcomers’ receptions and make phone calls and home visits to new parishioners. Whether your call is to work up front or behind the scenes, the St. Andrew's Ministry could use your talents and energy. Call to volunteer for the next Welcome Reception. If you’re new to the parish, please call or write to reserve your place at a Welcome Reception. You simply MUST experience SJV at its very best…and the food?…can you say YUM? The conversation is lively and you surely will make many new friends. Oh, and did I mention the food?! Breaking bread together is a famous SJV pastime. St. Andrew's Ministry knows how to run a party! All Are Welcome.

The St. Matthew’s Ministry counts the collections after masses and makes deposits. Training is required. This is an excellent ministry for couples or singles. At least two persons are always present when collections are counted. Most members of the ministry are on duty once a month.

Office Volunteers
Our wonderful Office Volunteers can be seen hard at work almost any day of the week, answering phones, stuffing envelopes and filing, just to name a few of the responsibilities they can take on. All skill levels and talents are welcome to this ministry. Office Volunteers get to set their own schedules, which is nice. We will put to use any time you care to give. We depend on Office Volunteers routinely and are especially appreciative of those times that we can depend on the Office Volunteer to answer the ringing phones. Contact the office and specify the times you are available to help out.

The St. Francis of Assisi Gardens Ministry maintains the landscaped areas around the church, parking lot and rectory. Parishioners who join this ministry weed and feed, plant and prune. The ministry sponsors Saturday workdays in the spring and fall when we work together in the gardens and on the grounds. We also have a program called "Adopt A Plot" to let parishioners choose a large or small plot to tend during the year. No gardening experience is needed, just a willingness to work in the soil and beautify the grounds at our church. You can participate on the workdays or on a regular basis.
