      Prayer to St John Vianney

"Almighty and merciful God, you made St John Vianney wonderful by his pastoral zeal and constant prayer and penance. Grant, we beseech Thee, that by his example and intercession we may be able to win the souls of our brethren for Christ, and together with them attain to everlasting glory.
      Through Christ our Lord. Amen."

    • St John Vianney Capital Campaign
We entered 2014 with the hope of renewed spirit and vigor, so that we can make St John Vianney Parish the best it can be, and move forward with our plans to re-purpose our recently acquired buildings and reduce our parish debt.

We retained the services of the Steier Group, a development consulting firm, to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study. I recently received their report which was also shared with members of the Finance & Pastoral Councils and Strategic Planning Committee. I then submitted the report to Bishop Vasquez and the Diocesan Offices for their comments.

The view of our Bishop and the Diocese is that we should move forward with the capital campaign. We are currently detailing the contract with Steier that will make this happen. I look forward to sharing this with you all as we continue to build for the future of our parish community.

May God Bless you and St John Vianney Catholic Parish.

      St John Vianney Campaign Prayer

Good and gracious God, you call each one of us to serve in your name through our acts of love to one another. We express that love by a willingness to give and to share with others in need. We are good and faithful stewards who truly believe that what we do for the least of our sisters and brothers, we do for you.
We thank you that you call us into this wonderful community of faith under the patronage of St John Vianney. May our gifts of time and talent and treasure in support of this capital campaign come from the realization that we are grateful for all you have given us.
It is our opportunity now to continue to build on our foundation for the future so that we will be able to keep growing in, giving witness to and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We pray that you, the beginning and end of all things will bless our labors. Inspire each of us to realize that this sacrificial work is for the honor and service of your people. May our commitment to and support of this campaign bear much fruit now and in the future.
We commend this time to the prayers and intercession of Our Blessed Mother and our Patron, St John Vianney and we pray all of this through Christ our Lord. Amen

      Diocese of Austin Pastoral Plan

The Diocese of Austin is in the process of developing a new Pastoral Plan, an important document that will guide the mission and direction of our diocese for the next five years and responds to pastoral needs. The Pastoral Plan survey is officially closed. Almost 4,000 surveys were completed throughout the diocese. The vast amount of data continues to be analyzed and the first draft of the Plan will be presented to the Steering Committee at their meeting on August 9th. If you would like to receive updates about the plan, please sign up on the diocesan website for regular messages.
